Hi Nandita
I have received quotation @Rs 1100 psft from interior designer for kitchen and wardrobe.
Material to be used
1. non-branded best quality Marine Ply with laminate matte finish for kitchen and wardrobe.
2. In case of kitchen, shutters will be factory made. Rest will be done by their carpenters at the site.
3. Kitchen with 10 innotech drawers and hettich hardware and fittings. one side cabinets till loft. Lumsum value 2,50,000.
4. She will charge 10 % fee on total.
Please tell me is the rate ok to go with. because for wardrobes Rs 1400 psft charged by another interior with commercial ply.

Shraddha: Price needs to be just ONE of the factors to decide on a designer. You also need to consider whether the person would really be able to deliver the home that you desire.
In what you have mentioned in your question the only bit that seems out of place is the "best quality marine ply" bit. Please ask the vendor to be specific on the brand or the price of the ply. Good quality marine ply will be no less than Rs.110 psft for 19mm.
This is a great article. It gave me a lot of useful information. thank you very much.
