  1. congratulations…..nice logo…. can i have "the studio" address and fb page link…
and i need a suggestion from u… which brand electrical switches is good??

  2. Its happening iteratively – the FB page as well as a website for just the Wardrobes is in the works….watch this space 🙂
The most widely available switches are from Anchor (now bought over by Panasonic), they are easily replaceable hence recommended. In terms of quality however Woods are a shade better.

  3. Hi Nandita. Are you doing works in Chennai as well? This website is awesome. Great tips. Thank you.

  4. Many Congrats Nandita…n wish u all the very best:) Must say that your blogs are awesome and v helpful. I have a small doubt, regarding pine plywood. In one of your earlier post you said that we should not use pine plywood until our budget is really tight, but can it be used for wall panelling if not than what will you recommend. Also is Pine plywood same as commercial plywood and is pine plywood recommended for making furniture as t.v. units and bed or not…Thanks a lot Neha

  5. Thanks Neha – I don't recommend Pinewood for making anything. Pinewood that I have come across in Bangalore is softer than regular commercial board/ ply (ISI marked) and gives issues in the long run

  6. Hi Nandita,
I m planning for interiors for my apartment.
we would like to go for pocket friendly design , can u suggest me what materials to be used and its pros & cons.
r the soft closure really good than the hard closure doors?

  7. Hi Nandita,

    Congarts.all the best for future.

I have a question regarding kitchen work

I am thinking of using green fly bwr/bwp grade for my kitchen. But i have checked many shops none of green ply has ISI marked. But it is written that it is bwr/bwp. is it ok ? or it is fake green ply? which brand of plywood is the best?

  8. Hi Nandita,
I am going to start my home interior, come across your blog …really good and helpful. Can you suggest me a place where I can get bed and sofas at reasonable price in Bangalore. And any idea about Elica's hob and hood , Is it good?

    Regards,
    Roopa

  9. The IS grade/ Specification (IS 303/ 701/ 1659 etc.) will definitely be mentioned on the ply/ board – if that is mentioned then you know what to buy.
The only way to avoid a fake is to buy from a trusted source

  10. For sofas & beds you have some standard places in Bangalore – try Simply Sofas, Stanley, Tangent, Homestop, Lifestyle, Fab Furnish, Evok, Urban Ladder, @Home etc.
Also know that Bangalore prices are at least 20% higher than anywhere else in India hence "reasonable" may be difficult. 🙂
Elica is good as a product but their after sales is a ??
