Hi Nandita
Too good, very nice work. what is the wood you have used here. the false ceoling looks good too. Are they LED strips?
I honestly admire your work, keep the good work. 🙂
tina
Thanks Tina. And yes the lighting is mostly LED..the wood is BWR ply with veneer.

Hi Nandita,
Do you have any idea about repaint cost of a ~1000sqft (carpet area) 2bhk ? which type of paint gives good finish ?
Can you suggest any professional paint contractor in bangalore.
Hi Nandita
Enjoy your writing. Was wondering if you could do an article on eco friendly alternatives. For example, emission free paints and wood work and where we can access those.
Painting cost varies drastically depending on the type of paint and the finishes – for a 2 bhk it can range from 5000 to 50000.
I would just recommend going in for branded paints as these give a better finish – also each brand (Asian, Nerolac, Dulux etc.) has something available to suit every budget.

Hi Nandita,
Which brand of LED stips do you use ? From where in Bangalore you buy them ?
Usually 3M – they are available at most electrical shops

Hi Nandita,
Can you please tell me how much will it cost for a good interior setup for a 1100 Sq feet flat.
Thanks
Rajaneesh
The thumbrule for decent quality interiors is approx 600 – 800 times the super built up area of the flat

Mam please be kind enough to include an article on Wood Coatings/polishes namely PU, Polyester, Melamine from brands like Sirca, ICA, Verinlegno etc.
Regards.
That is a good subject for a blog post & I may write about it in the future. In the mean time you may want to check http://site.sheenlac.in/wood_finishes_sheenlac.html

There is no name for it… also, its customized for each home as part of the overall interior design.

Hi Nandita, Thanks much for the informative posts. One aspect that I need suggestions is on colors. My house is 990 sqft 2BHK. Need lot of woodwork, however dont want to get the cramped look :-). The house has white color white wash inside. Are there any color recommendations for hall /kitchne/BR that would give a little spacious look.
You should ideally go with lighter shades with one highlight wall in each room.

HI Nandita,
Also, could you please let me know if you have used wood / ply wood specifications or materials used for false roofing ?
Thanks,
-Narasimha
False roofing is usually done using Gypsum Board and not Plywood/ Wood

hi nandita ,
The lights used in hall are they Led strips or tubelights ? As led strips do not give so much light . i like golden color occasionally ..but i prefer white light in my house . i am done with my pop …which light can i use instead of tubelight for daily need ?
thanks,
preeti
Ideally put in both a tubelight and an LED with independent controls so that you may change the lighting based on the mood
