Nandita Manwani
Founder & Principal Designer – The Studio by Nandita Manwani

Nandita Manwani founded her Bengaluru-based home interiors brand, The Studio by Nandita Manwani, in 2010 to use the power of good design to impact life. Re-imagining Indian homes by bringing empathy, function, and quiet elegance to the forefront of interior design her approach is best defined as “life -centric” – creating spaces that not just reflect the personality of its occupants but design that guides and improves the life of the people inhabiting them.

Nandita is a key player in Bengaluru’s growing aesthetic of lifestyle-based residential interiors. A recipient of the National Architecture & Interior Design Award, multiple Best of Houzz awards, and recognized as one of the top women interior designers of the country, Nandita continues to shape how families in India experience a home – one thoughtfully designed space at a time – often limiting herself to just four or five at a time. Over the years, she has led numerous turnkey residential projects across South India. The popularity of Nandita’s boutique firm has transcended international borders too, attracting inquiries from homeowners from regions such as the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Europe, and the US.

Beyond her work as a designer, Nandita is a revered name in design education and leadership. “As design accelerates into the age of AI, what will stand the test of time isn’t technology, but timeless principles – a deep focus on the customer, authenticity of expression, and a meticulous eye for detail,” she shares with those seeking her advice on a career in interior design. Her biggest takeaway after so many years in business? “Stay original, stay honest.”

“Stay original, stay honest. Understand your customer, value your craft, and let integrity guide every choice – it’s the foundation on which lasting success is built”
– Nandita Manwani
