  1. Hi Nandita

Too good, very nice work. what is the wood you have used here. the false ceoling looks good too. Are they LED strips?

  2. Hi Nandita,

Do you have any idea about repaint cost of a ~1000sqft (carpet area) 2bhk ? which type of paint gives good finish ?
Can you suggest any professional paint contractor in bangalore.

  3. Hi Nandita
Enjoy your writing. Was wondering if you could do an article on eco friendly alternatives. For example, emission free paints and wood work and where we can access those.

  4. Painting cost varies drastically depending on the type of paint and the finishes – for a 2 bhk it can range from 5000 to 50000.
I would just recommend going in for branded paints as these give a better finish – also each brand (Asian, Nerolac, Dulux etc.) has something available to suit every budget.

    Regards
    Nandita

  8. hii nandita ..
Its always so interesting to read your post .Thanks for helping people like us who are building our new home .I simple loved the false roofing & the bar unit.
can you please share some reference for such roofing ? and what is such kind of roofing called ? ( i mean the false ceilings with this kind of lights inside)
can you also tell the approx cost for this exact false roofing work of hall + dinning ?

keep up the good work 🙂

  9. Hi Nandita, Thanks much for the informative posts. One aspect that I need suggestions is on colors. My house is 990 sqft 2BHK. Need lot of woodwork, however dont want to get the cramped look :-). The house has white color white wash inside. Are there any color recommendations for hall /kitchne/BR that would give a little spacious look.

  10. Dear Nandita, great website and useful information. I am seriously taking in to consideration all your tips and suggestions
I have tourist apartment under construction, it is on the final stage – i would like to know where i can find some nice Headboards in Bangalore?. I am looking for something very economical (Hotel type)

Below Headboard found in a website, and would like to know whether i can find something similar?. How much it cost approximately if i made it with customization ?

  12. Hi Nandita,

Lovely blog. Can you suggest any good vendor in Bangalore who can do false ceiling? Also, any good vendor who can make sliding wood door for Bedroom (coz there is very less space b/w the door and bed now 🙁 )? Thanks a lot in advance.

    Regards,
    Iti

  13. hi nandita ,
The lights used in hall are they Led strips or tubelights ? As led strips do not give so much light . i like golden color occasionally ..but i prefer white light in my house . i am done with my pop …which light can i use instead of tubelight for daily need ?

    preeti
