I am planning to renovate my old kitchen into modular designed kitchen style. I would like to know about the plywood need to frame the cabinets? my question is listed below.

I did not understand what you mean by "framing" the cabinets. For Modular Kitchen cabinets 16 mm ply with a 1 mm lamination on both sides is needed. Lamination can be Acrylic, Membrane, Mica (Laminate) etc. For the back panel a 6 to 8 mm back panel is ok and can save some cost and a 16 + 2mm panel is not necessary.
